Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ClashScout ("we", "us", "our") is a Clash of Clans clan recruitment platform available at clashscout.gg. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Supercell Oy.

2. Data we collect

• Account data — email address, username, and display name when you create an account.
• CoC player tag — if you choose to link your Clash of Clans tag to your account.
• Clan applications — the message you write when applying to join a clan.
• Reviews — star ratings and written reviews you submit for clans.
• Discord bot data — if a clan leader connects a Discord server to their clan, we store the Discord guild ID, channel ID, and webhook URL for that server. We do not store Discord user IDs of server members or message content beyond what is needed to process clan applications.
• Usage data — page views and interactions collected via Vercel Analytics (anonymous, no cookies).

3. How we use your data

• To authenticate you and manage your account.
• To display your clan applications and reviews.
• To look up your Clash of Clans player stats via the official CoC API when you link your tag.
• To send Discord notifications (application alerts, war updates, member changes) to channels where a clan leader has connected our bot.
• To improve the platform using anonymous usage analytics.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Discord Bot

The ClashScout Discord bot sends automated notifications to channels where a clan leader has explicitly granted access via Discord OAuth. The bot:

• Posts Clash of Clans player stats (town hall, trophies, war stars, heroes) when a player applies to join a clan.
• Posts war state changes (preparation, war day, result) for connected clans.
• Posts member join/leave updates for connected clans.
• Responds to slash commands (/player, /clan, /war, /members) with live CoC API data.

Discord connections can be removed at any time from the ClashScout dashboard, which immediately stops all bot notifications to that channel.

5. Third-party services

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Your data is stored in Supabase's EU infrastructure.
• Clash of Clans API — we fetch clan and player data from Supercell's official API. Your CoC tag is sent to this API only when you explicitly link it or trigger a lookup.
• Discord — if a leader connects a Discord server, we store a webhook URL and send notification payloads to Discord's API. We do not access or store messages in your Discord server beyond what is sent by our bot.
• Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics. No personal data is shared.
• Google / Discord OAuth — if you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive your email address and name from that provider.

6. Data retention

Your account data is retained until you delete your account. You may request deletion by contacting us. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Vercel per their own policy.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
